2008 SUMMER
PLAY

Steven Fendrich and Christopher Mohr
Curtis Jackson, a rock 'n' roll
star, pays an unlikely visit to the humble community of Victor. Our
disguised singing star meets a bundle of wacky characters: Alex, the
all-state football hero who is kidnaped before the big game by a greasy
motorcycle gang; Tillie Thompson, the dense waitress who runs the local malt
shop; a winsome, yet awkward couple, Wilbur and Bertha, who find mutual love
in the stars. And who can resist rooting on a trio of cheerleaders who can
never hold themselves back. Bring in hysterical impersonations of Elvis and
Buddy, topped off with pompadours, poodle skirts and a sensational score of
original rock 'n' roll songs, and are in a fabulous fifties smash hit.

first play you need to have taken or take an acting course with the
Discovery Center prior to this
play. If you want to perform in a future play, take an acting course with us now.
Once you have taken one acting course you may join the Discovery Center
Players (our acting troupe)
Acting Classes are a fun way to bond with other potential cast
members and to learn stage commands and just have fun. All acting
courses are designed to be taken over and over again. Courses that are
eligible are Stories Alive, Actors Workshop.
