Hands on Science

• NO COST TO THE SCHOOL 
  (however any building use expenses would be the school’s responsibility)

• NO PAPERWORK The Discovery Center processes all registrations. The Discovery Center will provide the school with a flyer for reproduction and 
  distribution throughout their building or district

• NO MINIMUMS The Discovery Center will run the program with as few as 15 children. We will run the program regardless of the number of children in 
  attendance (most events have 40-100 children) We will provide an additional date if the response warrants it. No one will be turned away!!

• SCIENCE OPPORTUNITIES These hands on science workshops are great for the science minded child. Children work in groups of 5-7 children 
  (no more than 10 kids per group). Each event will offer at least 12 workshop choices (often 18-22 workshop choices are offered) . Each child pre-registers and is asked to pick 7 workshops of interest and then he/she will be assigned 3 of his 7 choices for the Hands on Science Day or 2 for an Evening of Hands On Science. Parents pay $32 per child (first child / $28 each additional child) for the Hands on Saturday program (Sunday’s available to Jewish Day schools) which includes three science workshops and a magic show during lunch. Or parents pay $20 per child (first child / $18 each additional child) for the Evening of science program. These prices include all supplies.

• NO RISK There is no cost to the school; no administrative headaches, no
