The PCDC acting program runs year-round. There are several different programs to meet a variety of needs, including the very popular plays.
Stories Alive (Ages 4 –
6)
During this 45-minute program, children are introduced to drama through
familiar stories, which they can act out, using props or simple costumes
that they make and take home.
Actors Workshop (Ages 6-10) ( Ages 9-15) Basic acting techniques are covered with ample opportunity for individual expression and group exercises. Throughout the course, students will explore vocal expression and body movement, through games, exercises, and staged readings. This is offered as a 5-6 hour one day course or as a 4-6 week one hour course. For more information, see the home page as all current programs are listed there
SKETCH COMEDY WORKSHOP ( for Teens/ High School) provides students with the chance to let their creative juices flow and their imaginations to go wild! Participants engage in improvisation and theater games to explore ideas for plots and characters. The workshop concludes with an original presentation written and performed by the group. Perfect for the budding playwright, stand up comic or any student wishing to expand his/her own creativity in a performance-related art form.
